At least that is how Snoopy always started his great American novels. If it worked for Snoopy, maybe it will work for me. At least Charles Shultz didn't die a pauper.
This isn't a great American novel. It is merely a journal of the trip that Lucia (my then girlfriend/fiancé and now wife of about 10 years) took to Thailand in February 2001. During the trip, I had a wealth of wonderful experiences and impressions of Thailand. My absolutely best friends in the world, Gary and Luli, took their entire family to India several years ago and they wrote a journal of their trip. I really enjoyed reading it and I can't wait to read their journals of their trip back to India this November and December. After we got back, I remembered a lot of my impressions and wanted to write them down. Once I got started, I just kept writing and writing. This is a living document and I expect that I will continue to add stuff for a while. As I write, I have been showing it to Lucia. She really enjoys it and tells me that she has shown my comments on some of the Thai customs and they say that it's all true. The only bad part is that she tells me that she would rather read what I write than talk to me!.
